Sicily VIP Wine & Food Tour: 8 Nights, 9 Days Itinerary
Thinking about an epic wine and food adventure around Sicily? Here’s a suggested itinerary that packs in loads of great eats, amazing sights, and delicious wines. Trust me when I say this was one of the the most amazing wine and food tours i have ever experienced

Day 1 – Arrive in Sicily (Catania) + Welcome Dinner
You’ll get picked up by an English-speaking driver and whisked off to your hotel in Taormina . Check out the city center at your own pace. In the evening, there’s a welcome dinner waiting for you in town. You’ll stay two nights at The Ashbee Hotel—a beautiful historic villa with stunning sea views, gardens, and a pool.

Day 2 – Explore Etna Volcano & Sicilian Wineries
Grab breakfast, then head out in a jeep with your guide to check out Europe’s biggest active volcano! See lava flows, forests, caves, and mountain stops (don’t miss espresso on the way). You’ll visit Cottanera Winery for tastings and lunch, then swing by Tenute di Fessina Winery for more wine. After heading back to the hotel, dinner is up to you—maybe try Cave Ox for a cool aperitivo.

Day 3 – More Wineries & Cooking Class Fun
Start the day with breakfast and pack up. You’ll visit Barone di Villagrande and Benanti wineries for private tours, tastings, and a tasty lunch. Then it’s off to Baglio Occhipinti for a hands-on Sicilian cooking class, using super fresh farm ingredients, followed by a four-course feast. Stay overnight at this gorgeous estate among vineyards and olive groves.

Day 4 – Tasting Day at Occhipinti & Cos Wineries
After breakfast and checking out, pop over to Arianna Occhipinti and Cos wineries for guided tastings and lunch. Next, transfer to Fontes Episcopi Bio Resort in Agrigento for a couple of nights. Want to learn traditional wood oven cooking? Jump into a class when you arrive!

Day 5 – Ancient Temples & Picnic in Kolymbetra Garden
Eat breakfast, then set out for the Valley of the Temples for a walk-through history. Afterward, enjoy a picnic lunch in Kolymbetra Garden right inside the archaeological park. Wrap up the day with dinner at a private villa overlooking Agrigento’s valleys.
Day 6 – Village Tastings & Tasca d’Almerita Winery
After breakfast and checkout, cruise through Platani river valley villages for tastings at local dairies, bakeries, and more. Lunch is at a local bakery, then you’re off to Regaleali Estate Tasca d’Almerita for a winery visit and dinner. Stay the night at the estate.
Day 7 – Palermo Food Market Adventure
Have breakfast, check out, then hit the streets of Palermo with a half-day walking tour—including Capo market and some awesome cultural spots. You’ll graze on street food along the way. Chill out in your free time before heading to La Foresteria Planeta in Menfi for two nights (includes dinner and wine tasting!).
Day 8 – Planeta Ulmo Experience in Sambuca
Enjoy breakfast, then head to Sambuca di Sicilia for a deep dive into Planeta Winery—tours, cellar visits, tastings, and lunch paired with four wines. Return to La Foresteria Planeta to relax for the afternoon. Dinner’s on your own tonight.
Day 9 – Heading Home
One last breakfast, then you’ll check out and get a transfer to the airport. Safe travels!
