Majestic and one-of-a-kind, Mt Etna proudly stands as the powerful emblem of Sicily, transforming this region into a mystical and utterly captivating destination!
The Etna landscape is adorned with terraces of dry lava stone walls, celebrated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. These terraces host numerous vines trained in the traditional 'alberello' style, with some vines boasting centuries of history.
The volcanic soil, the array of vibrant lava flowers, the challenging Mediterranean climate, temperature swings, and age-old winemaking traditions combine to make Etna a truly unique and globally cherished terroir.
In the shadow of the mountain, wines are crafted that are rich in minerals, vibrant, warm, and robust—just like Etna itself!
Vini Cali is a family owned vineyard on the slopes of Mt Etna, Sicily, and it embodies the essence of wines typical of the region. The co-owners, Mario and Laura also have an amazing little Sicilian cucina in Newstead , Brisbane, Locale, and it has become our go to place for amazing food and delicious wine, Sicilian of course.!!
